John Calwile Vinestreet is a music business consultant specializing in artist development and marketing strategies. John believes in equipping artists with the tools they need to succeed independently.
With over 40 years of experience in the music industry as an artist and a music business entertainment consultant, John is the founder and sole proprietor of Vinestreet Music Consulting. His in-depth knowledge and expertise have enabled him to enjoy a successful business in an evolving music industry.
Throughout his career, John has honed his skills as an artist and collaborated with some of the industry’s best. John has toured and performed as an opening act with Kool and the Gang, Bruce Willis, Billie Vera and the Beaters, Roger Troutman featuring Zapp, Gap Band, The Whispers, the Del Phonics, Bobby Womack, Kurtis (Walker) Blow, Rick James and the Stone City Band.
As a vocal performance coach, he has shared the stage and worked with such legends as Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, Janelle Monae, Eric Benet, Lalah Hathaway, Judith Hill, Ricky Minor, and the Late Armenian Singer Flora Martirosyan. He has also worked as a vocal performance coach for various high-profile events, including the “International Colors of Peach Choir” for the Annual Stevie Wonder House Full of Toys Benefit Concerts at the Nokia Theatre/LA Live and the Crypto.Com Arena (formally, the Staples Center), Los Angeles, California.
John is an active member of the Grammy Museum/Recording Academy, a voting member of the Society of Composers and Lyricists (SCL), The California Copyright Conference (CCC), and the National Association of Recording Industry Professionals (NARIP)
John is available for seminars, industry panels, motivational speaking engagements, and conferences.
