There is a BUNDLE TICKET option of GA/Afterparty available for limited time priced as 50% off GA and full price Afterparty. Afterparty tickets cannot be discounted. Bardot (upstairs at the Avalon) is the venue for Afterparty and has limited capacity of 300. Once capacity (by ticket sales) is reached, Afterparty tickets will no longer be available. Go to ticketing portal (link below), click BUY TICKETS, then select quantity of General Admission (using coupon code), click NEXT and you will see “Do you have a promo code?”…click that and enter the corresponding promo code (nominee24). General Admission DOES NOT get access to the HIMA Afterparty, located upstairs (Bardot) in the Avalon venue. Bardot capacity is 300. These tickets will sell out quickly. Everybody can relax, decompress, and make new friends. Some live performances are planned with surprise guest appearances. There is a bundle option (GA ticket with Afterparty) on the HIMA ticketing portal. We appreciate everyone understanding these tickets will sell out because we have limited capacity for the Official Afterparty.

LEGAL AGE & MINORS
This event is intended for persons 21+. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

CHECK IN – MAIN EVENT ENTRY:
All purchased tickets will be electronically issued to you through a QR code for easy, quick scanning upon arrival. Venue security will be checking IDs and issuing 21+ wristbands, then guests will proceed to the main entrance of the venue.

All assigned MAIN FLOOR seated guests will be given numbered wristbands corresponding to their assigned VIP table or VIP booth. All tables and booths are numbered, including the six balcony booths. Wristbands must be worn at all times while in the venue. Non-assigned seat (General Admission) guests may head inside the venue, enjoy the lobby bar and socialize but PLEASE do not congregate near the red carpet or interview stations. We ask all General Admission ticket holders to head to the designated General Admission areas in the balcony or other GA areas. Please DO NOT block any designated walkways.

RED CARPET:
The red carpet will run from 5:30pm to 8:00pm. To ensure all nominees, presenters and sponsors get carpet time, we ask to arrive early enough (bwtween 5:30 and 6:30). Our red carpet staff will direct you where to go, provide a written slate and instructions to make your carpet appearance. Please do not take selfies on the main red carpet. There will be a selfie wall for this purpose.

ONLY 2024 NOMINEES, APPROVED VIPs, SPONSORS & PRESENTERS ARE ALLOWED ON THE RED CARPET:
If you are a single nominee (one person), we will allow you to have a “plus one” on the carpet with you. Please do not abuse this courtesy. If you are a band, only band members (musicians) are allowed on the carpet. Please arrive early enough to ensure you have carpet access. There will be a line for the red carpet so we ask for patience, cooperation, and courtesy. Our PR team will check you in, whiteboard your name, and direct you to where you need to go. You may pose for a moment or two for still photos on the carpet. Please move along and don’t hold up traffic! Be respectful to all the other nominees waiting in line behind you.

NOT ALL NOMINEES WILL BE INTERVIEWED:
This is important…there is simply not enough time to interview everyone. If you are chosen for a quick interview, you’ll be directed to an area off the red carpet. Please do not EXPECT this and please do not ASK to be interviewed, just be ready if it happens.

PODIUM ANNOUNCEMENTS & VIDEO PRESENTATIONS:
PLEASE NOTE: All categories will NOT be presented by a presenter at the podium. Some categories will be in video presentation packages, shown on screens throughout the venue. Due to the number of categories recognized at the HIMA, we cannot announce all nominations live with on-stage acceptances. There is simply not enough time. However, if you see your category on house big screens and see you won, we have a winner area backstage with an official HIMA photographer and video team. We will have guest relations associates and production staff throughout the main floor (easily identified by HIMA branded t-shirts) to direct you to this designated area. Pre-made, generic award trophies will be available for photographic purposes. These photos will be included in the Official HIMA Winner photo gallery distributed post-event. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

CELL PHONES AND CAMERAS:
Personal cameras (small) and cell phones are allowed in the venue. Cell phone video recording is allowed duing the main event, as long as it is not disrubtive. Please DO NOT take selfies on the red carpet. There is a photo wall in the lobby area where you can take all the selfies you like! Only professional and approved media will have a reserved spot on the main red carpet press line. All press must be approved. Press Credentials can be requested
HERE.

WHAT TO WEAR:
Recommended dress is “Hollywood Hip” or whatever you feel best suits your style and vibe. This is NOT a stuffy, formal black tie event. Although, if you want to dress up with a tux and top hat, go for it! And ladies, formal is acceptable, and so is “Sunset Strip Sexy.” We love seeing personalities shine! Just remember, this is a celebration, so get ready to have a good time!

PARKING & DIRECTIONS:
Directions to the Avalon can be found HERE.
There are paid parking lots North and South of the Avalon and one across the street next to Capitol Records. If you find a spot on the street at a parking meter, be sure to read the signs before heading into the club. For cheaper parking options, there are $10 parking lots at 1800 Vine (entrance on Yucca) and 6223 Selma (on Selma between Argyle and El Centro). You may want to park somewhere in the general area and take Uber/Lyft to the Avalon. Bottom line: Plan and prepare your arrival and parking accordingly.

DECORUM & CONDUCT:
During the awards show (8:00pm-10:00pm) we ask that you keep voice volume to a minimum, but shout and applaud when appropriate. The show is being recorded! If you wish to engage in loud conversation, there is plenty of room in the main lobby that cannot be heard by our production recording. Anyone disrupting the show will be asked to leave the area. We appreciate your cooperation and consideration. No outside alcohol or illegal drugs are permitted inside the Avalon. Anyone found with illegal substances or determined to be disruptive will be at best asked to leave or escorted out of the venue by security.
